Organizer Roles

There are many roles needed to make camp happen. Each role falls under four main categories: Logistics, Outreach, People, and Programs. Within each category is a different role. Please note the roles listed below are subject to change based on camp needs.

Camp Coordinator

Coordinates the camp schedule and communicates this to campers and parents; calls parents; checks campers in for camp. The point person for parents.

Camper Coordinator

Recruits campers and communicates with their parents.

Equipment & Sound Production Coordinator

Organizes pick-up, drop-off, and return of all camp equipment including instruments and other materials.

Financial Coordinator

Plans budget for camp; tracks expenses; handles insurance and taxes.

Food Coordinator

Contacts local restaurants or community members for food donations.

Fundraising / Event Planning Coordinator

Works in conjunction with the Financial Coordinator; scouts locations and opportunities for fundraisers, as well as grants and scholarships.

General BTS Organizer

Always down to make a spreadsheet or do anything to help things run smoothly! Maintains the Google calendar for organizer meetings and launch dates; works on camp schedule.

Lunch Concert Coordinator

Books musicians to perform for our lunch concerts the week of camp.

Social Media Coordinator

Updates our Facebook, and Instagram accounts as well as updates our website (including making graphics or flyers for posts).

Space Liaison

Handles the logistics of finding and booking a space to host camp or camp-related events.

Volunteer Coordinator

Recruits and interviews volunteers, ensuring they understand the role(s) they have been assigned. Communicates with volunteers prior to and during camp, and supports them through camp week. Everyone takes part in training volunteers at our mandatory volunteer training day.

Workshop Coordinator

Recruits volunteers specifically to lead workshops. Makes sure they have all necessary materials and supplies needed to lead their workshop.
